What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is the study, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle and lower leg including biomechanical and musculo-skeletal disorders.

Podiatry includes the following:

• Custom made orthoses (in-soles)

• Biomechanical assessments

• Gait analysis

• Podiatric medicine (eg. podiatric care for diabetes and rheumatology)

• Minor surgery for In-growing toe nails

• General chiropody
