Shockwave Therapy

Physiotherapy is an evidence based profession which takes a ‘whole person’ approach to the health and wellbeing of their patients and their injuries, including their general lifestyle.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (EWST) is a pain management technique that introduces high-energy sound waves into the painful areas of the body.

Pain can make life difficult and reduce your mobility. ESWT can help to alleviate acute or chronic pain in all major joints, as well as decreasing muscular tension.

For more information on ESWT click here, or alternatively speak to your therapist in the clinic.

ESWT commonly treats conditions such as:

  • Shoulder Tendonitis
  • Patellar Tendonitis
  • Shin Splints
